Help Fight Back Against this Unprecedented Conservative Attack
Here it comes.
Conservative businessman Michael Breyer just gave his campaign another $250,000 to fund his unprecedented negative attack program in our race for state Assembly.
Breyer had already loaned or given himself nearly $350,000, bringing the total to nearly $600,000 – and virtually all his campaign is now a series of factually false, misleading and even libelous hit mailings.
Will you help us fight back by giving the most generous contribution you can afford right now?
He isn’t just attacking me. Conservative businessman Michael Breyer is attacking our core values. He calls modern San Francisco values “zany.” And he overtly attacks fundamental and important programs to protect the environment, improve the health of our children and defend retirement security. I’m proud to have won the support of virtually every group in this race to take a stand, from the Sierra Club to California teachers, nurses, public safety leaders, Attorney General Kamala Harris, Assemblywoman Fiona Ma and so many others.
These attacks from Breyer are a direct assault on the values we share.
Will you help defend the real San Francisco values of equality and tolerance?
Breyer claims he is not a politician. What he does not say is that he was part of the flood of expenditures trying to influence the 2011 San Francisco Mayor’s race and that the San Francisco Ethics Commission staff investigated his committee and actually attempted to bar him, and others, from continuing to inappropriately coordinate campaigns. After the election he sought an appointment. And when this political reward was rightly denied, he launched his campaign for state Assembly.
Will you help us stop him from buying this important Assembly seat?
We simply must be able to answer this flood of negative attacks. Your help is vital right now so we can get the truth out.
Will you help fund the truth? I am so proud to have won the support of virtually every single newspaper, leader, community group and organization to take a stand in this race. But it won’t matter if we can’t get the message out.
Will you help?
I thank you in advance for standing up for the truth and standing up to these conservative attacks.
Sincerely,

Phil Ting
San Francisco Assessor-Recorder
Candidate for Assembly (AD-19)
